Before my children were born, I decided that I would homeschool them. Naturally, I faced a lot of opposition in my choice, but I realized it was just that – MY choice. Immediately after the birth of my first child, I started to research homeschool programs. I was shocked to see just how much this particular educational choice would end up costing us. Then, I overheard a casual conversation regarding a homeschool program that a coworker used with her children while on a break at work. This homeschool program was not a traditional homeschool curriculum, but I liked the concept. It was actually referred to as “public virtual school”.
